NOTICE OF BUDGET

(Pursuant to 29-1-106, C.R.S.)

NOTICE is hereby given that a proposed budget has been submitted to the Indian Hills Fire Protection District for the ensuing year of 2023; a copy of such proposed budget has been filed in the office of the Indian Hills Fire Protection District; where the same is open for public inspection; such proposed budget will be considered at the regular meeting of the Indian Hills Fire Protection District Board of Directors to be held at 4476 Parmalee Gulch Road, Indian Hills, Colorado on November 16, 2022 at 7:00 p.m.

Any interested elector of Indian Hills Fire Protection District may inspect the proposed budget and file or register any objections thereto at any time prior to the final adoption of the budget.

PRESENTATION OF THE PROPOSED BUDGET

Changes from CY 2022 Budget (Overall Decrease of $24.7K)

o Property Tax Income Decrease (Approx. 1.5% decrease (~ $5.6K)

o Fire Deployment Reimbursements (No Budgeted Change but income expected)

o Increase in Ambulance Fees (~ $6K)

o Increase in Pension Contributions (~ $1.5K)

o Budget for Election Expenses (~ $12K) (No Change)

o Community Wildland Fire Protection Plan Projects (~ $30K)

o Increase in Anticipated Grant Matching Funds (~ $14K)

o Fire Apparatus Capital Expenses Decrease (~ $55K)

Priority Funding Areas for CY 2023 Budget

o Community Wildland Fire Protection Plan Projects (~ $30K)

o Pension Fund Contribution Increases (~ $1.5K)

o Replacement/New Admin Computers (~ $1K)

o Station Improvements (~ $10K)

Overall Impact to District Financial Positions

o Approximately $23K added to District Reserves
